The ZED has a built-in USB 3.0 controller that enables low-latency data transmission with minimum polling and CPU usage, allowing the camera to transmit video data as soon as the frames are captured.
As a result, the latency on video delivery is lower than USB 2.0 cameras and do not exceed 2 to 3 frames. However, these figures are highly dependent on the Host USB controller and the Operating System.
Frame Rate | Expected Latency |
100 | 20ms - 30ms |
60 | 30ms - 45ms |
30 | 66ms - 100ms |
15 | 133ms - 200ms |
